Recreational Boating in New York Harbor

By Rodney and Barbara Myrvaagnes

New York Harbor can be a delightful place to sail. The winds are somewhat more reliable than those in Long Island Sound in the summer, and there is always something for non-sailing guests to see.

There are multiple possibilities for weekend overnights and minicruises; The Hudson, the Narrows, and the East River all lead to candidates. For power boats, the range is greater.
